Rocketing out of Long Beach for the very 1st time!. This prototype DC-10 later joined the American Airlines fleet in 1972 as N101AA where she remained until she was retired on 15.11.1994. She went into storage at Tulsa, Oklahoma.
On 12.02.1997 she was purchased by FedEx and ferried to Goodyear, She was assigned to the MD-10 program. But was broken up instead.
